Inclusive employer on Undelucram.ro: A step towards equal opportunities in the job market.

Today, we continue our series of articles dedicated to initiatives that promote fair play in the job market by presenting Undelucram.ro’s efforts toward digital accessibility and inclusion.
As part of the partnership between Undelucram.ro and Accessi+, and on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we have introduced the "Inclusive Employer" tab on our platform. This initiative highlights the importance of diversity and inclusion in the professional environment, offering companies a dedicated space to showcase their projects and actions in this area. Thus, employers can activate the "Inclusive Employer" functionality directly from their Undelucram.ro account, demonstrating their commitment to a more inclusive job market.
Before diving into the details of this subject, let’s first understand what it truly means to be an Inclusive Employer and what concrete steps companies can take to support a more open and equitable workplace.
The Importance of Digital Accessibility in Attracting Vulnerable Candidates
Just as physical spaces must be accessible to disadvantaged individuals, online environments must also be inclusive, as users spend more and more time in the digital world. Digital accessibility plays a crucial role for vulnerable individuals.
Statistics show that 71% of these users will immediately leave a website if it is not easily accessible. Organizations looking to attract candidates from this category must overcome digital barriers and create inclusive online spaces.
It is essential to facilitate access to resources, collaborate with diverse communities, and develop online experiences that meet the real needs of users, regardless of whether they belong to vulnerable groups.
A New Feature - Inclusive Employer: What Is It and How Can It Be Activated?
After understanding the context of workplace inclusion, let’s explore how companies can activate the "Inclusive Employer" functionality on Undelucram.ro.
How does it work?
Companies that have access to Undelucram.ro’s Employer Branding solutions can personalize the tab directly from their Employer account, using it as follows:
- For the Basic Profile: Companies can select projects and actions undertaken from a predefined list of categories, highlighting their initiatives in the Diversity & Inclusion field.
- For the Premium Profile: In addition to selecting from the predefined list, employers can add a detailed description of their actions (e.g., relevant images, videos, etc.).
How is the "Inclusive Employer" status displayed to users?
On the right side of the company profile, the "Inclusive Employer" label will be visible, with additional details accessible via a pop-up upon clicking. The badge is only visible if the employer completes the information in their account.
Legislative Insights:
European Accessibility Act: What Is It and How Should Companies Prepare?
The European Accessibility Act (EAA) will come into effect on June 28, 2025. It aims to ensure equal access to digital products and services for people with disabilities across the European Union. This regulation applies to all organizations that meet at least one of the following criteria: they have more than 10 employees or generate a minimum turnover of 2 million euros.
Romania - Law No. 232 of July 19, 2022
This law, which will become applicable in June 2025, requires Romanian organizations to implement measures ensuring the accessibility of their services for people with disabilities. These measures include adapting technology, optimizing interfaces, making terminal equipment accessible, and ensuring effective communication.
Digital Accessibility: A Solution for Meeting the 4% Quota and Optimizing the Disability Fund Tax
Romanian law mandates that organizations with more than 50 employees hire at least 4% of people with disabilities. Otherwise, they are required to pay a monthly tax to the disability fund. Alternatively, they can pay only 50% of the total amount due to the state and allocate the remaining 50% to purchasing products or services from Authorized Protected Units (UPA).
Digital accessibility can facilitate meeting this quota by removing barriers in recruitment processes, giving people with disabilities a fairer chance to integrate into the professional environment.
Conclusions
Inclusion is not just an ethical ideal but also a strategic necessity for modern companies. Digital accessibility not only helps recruit diverse talent but also ensures compliance with European and national accessibility regulations.
Undelucram.ro supports and promotes a fair work environment where every candidate has equal opportunities. The "Inclusive Employer" badge is a step forward toward a more open job market, and companies that choose to activate it demonstrate a genuine commitment to diversity and inclusion.
