Client Description:
Adecco Permanent Placement is hiring an Automation Engineer for one of its clients, specializes in delivering innovative engineering solutions, focusing on mechanical and electrical design, service engineering, and technical expertise to meet the needs of clients in various industries.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of PLC Programs: Collaborate with the engineering team to prepare and adapt PLC programs for HL machinery (programming not required).
- Remote Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Provide technical support via internet-based tools to diagnose and resolve issues.
- Machinery Startup: Travel to client sites for the commissioning and startup of the machinery.
- Customer Communication: Act as the primary technical contact during on-site visits, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
- Reporting: Document technical processes, troubleshooting steps, and startup results in detailed reports.
- Travel: Undertake business trips (1-3 weeks) across Europe and the Americas, representing approximately 50% of the role.
Candidate Profile:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of troubleshooting industrial machinery and basic PLC systems.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of industrial equipment and PLC systems. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
Troubleshooting Skills: Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Soft Skills: Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
Languages: Proficiency in English is mandatory; knowledge of German is a plus.
Travel: Willingness and ability to travel internationally for extended periods.
Documentation: EU passport required for ease of travel.
Training: Availability for an initial training period in Germany to familiarize with systems and processes.
