There are multiple opportunities to lead projects to bring new technologies to life, upgrade / retrofit existing machinery, and enable improvements / cost savings supporting productivity and operational excellence. You will be part of a unique organization based within the manufacturing plant that drives synergies, technical rigor, and focuses on delivering projects with excellence utilizing standard work processes.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS AUTOMATION ENGINEER:

You will be part of a unique organization based within the manufacturing plant that drives synergies, technical rigor, and focuses on delivering projects with excellence utilizing standard work processes, where tasks include process and technology development, equipment design, specification of technical requirements for new machines /processes/ production lines' upgrades, data analysis, technical scope initiation and deployment with objective to achieve simplification and various efficiency improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and correct the electrical failures or automation equipment programs;
  • Project and build automation panels;
  • Train plant technicians and operators in using the equipment and systems;
  • Identify and recommend changes and ways to improve the production processes and be part of new projects.
  • In charge of daily troubleshooting operations for production equipment;
  • Conversion and programming control equipment (Allen Bradley, Rockwell, Siemens PLC) of production systems;
  • Installation and commissioning of new instrumentation, process automation and controls equipment;
  • Participating in technology upgrade projects/installation of new production systems,
  • Own the programming definition, testing, and execution for Industrial Control Systems (ICS) such as Programmable Logic Controller (PLCs) and Human-to-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) including robots, vision / detection systems, and other industrial automation.
  • Provide technical direction to vendors and engineering firms throughout all phases of the project (design through construction and startup).
  • Input to project scope, cost, schedule, and resourcing plus the ability to quickly embrace and adapt to change
  • Working collaboratively with site / global engineering, technical vendors, equipment suppliers, and production site personnel.

You'll expand your knowledge based on personal experiences with industry experts and great managers who will invest in your development. Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Automation or Electrotechnics and experience in electrical actioning (frequency converters and servo actioning);
  • Capable to program in PLC & HMI (Omron, Siemens, Schneider, Eaton, Rockwell etc.)
  • Familiar with industrial automation;
  • Able to communicate in English including good understanding of technical terms;
  • Organized with attention to details;
  • Basic knowledge of computer programming;
  • Nice to have 1st degree "ANRE" qualification in programming industrial robots

You should have the right technical curiosity and understanding to develop innovative ways to big problems, also you have to have knowledge of bring together and analysis of times and movements of processes.
