Role description
The Procurement Sourcing Specialist - Professional Services Category is responsible for driving accurate sourcing activities across all subcategories, ensuring timely execution, stakeholder satisfaction and meeting other SLAs as determined. Professional Services consists of a range of sub-categories, including: Consultancy Fees, Financial Consulting, Legal, HR, Customers Services, Sustainability, Travel & Payments.
The Procurement Sourcing Specialist will be accountable for the execution of the Procurement Sourcing activities in Tactical spend scope, working with stakeholders to prioritize, complete and drive value for BHI and its brands.
The Procurement Sourcing Specialist will report into and work alongside the relevant category Procurement Sourcing Team Lead, and they will be responsible for internal stakeholder management, supporting contractual and commercial negotiations with third-party vendors in scope.
This role provides a hybrid way of working with an onsite presence of 2 days/week.
Key Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Support the business and internal relationships for vendor and commercial management across the Booking Holdings vendors in scope, capturing the project requirements and ensuring all stakeholders are aligned
- In conjunction with Business Stakeholders - evaluate providers for fit with Booking Holdings requirements
- Coordinate administrative procurement activities, including ensuring compliance with contracts, negotiating commercials and SLAs/KPIs, contracting drafting and sign off in close alignment with Business Partners, Group Legal, IT Security and Compliance, contract registration in our Contract Lifecycle Management tools, etc.
- Manage the cost savings process and align it with the budget owner and Finance
- Managing suppliers’ performance, third party risks, business controls, reviews and renewals
- Contributing towards the Team’s critical metrics
Role Qualifications and Requirements
- Background and interest in further building procurement knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of procurement processes, including sourcing (incl. tender processes and RFP analysis, vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management).
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, trends, and performance metrics to identify cost-saving opportunities, mitigate risks, and optimize procurement processes.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers while maintaining positive relationships.
- Understanding of contract language and service level agreements for software products is an advantage.
- Market Research Skills: Capability to conduct detailed market research to identify potential suppliers, assess market trends, and gather relevant data for decision-making.
- Independent, pragmatic and proactive work demeanor.
- Knowledge / Experience in supporting global programs across multiple vendors.
- Excellent and timely verbal and written communication skills required as well as demonstrated ability to present to Senior Management.
- Comfort in ambiguity - able to adapt style and approach in a diverse and international environment in order to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders from a variety of different geographies and cultures.
- Resilience - ability to deal with setbacks and an understanding that the department is early in its journey and so being able to cope with requests that might not always arrive with efficient timing.
- Familiarity with Procurement ERP systems and the roles they play in day-to-day operations internally and with suppliers.
- Experience or understanding of Professional Services scope, like but not limited to Consultancy, Financial Consulting, Legal, HR, Customers Services, Sustainability, Travel & Payments would be an advantage.
- Excellent English communication (written and spoken) skills
