This role sits within the Capital Markets, Indices & Risk division, which includes the London Stock Exchange, LSEG FX, LSEG Risk Intelligence and FTSE Russell. We know it's the unknowns that present the most risk and our LSEG Risk Intelligence platform provides screening, due diligence, identity verification and onboarding solutions to help mitigate against current and future threats.

- Equities - transfer 147 million real-time market messages and process 208 thousand equity orders
- FX - facilitate $326m of foreign exchange ($470bn average daily volume), process 15.6 million orders, generate 1GB data and transfer 480 million market data messages to support 18% of the global market share
...and we do all of this with a median latency of less than 30 micro-seconds!
Overview
The role will partner with the various businesses within the division to enable alignment of business needs with security objectives. Ensuring that Security capabilities are deployed, threat actors and cyber risks identified and target state maturity is in compliance with policies, standards and capabilities. We are looking for someone to have a meaningful impact in this critical role.
You will help develop and deliver a best-in-class enterprise cyber and information security program. The team is accountable to the boards for the assessment, communication, management and closure of cyber risk. Being highly regulated businesses, we also have to deliver reporting for our regulators and stay in sync with regulatory frameworks.
To be successful in this role, you will build relationships across different internal functions, liaise with and use matrixed teams from across the Group and become a trusted partner to the business. Good communication skills and the ability to translate between technical and non-technical people are key to the role.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the cyber risk profile for the division
- Partnering with the technology organisation to successfully drive development, implementation, maintenance and improvement of all information security related activities
- Engage and manage external partners to successfully meet Information Security requirements and regulations
- Provide input to board and regulator reports
- Provide guidance for audit preparation and addressing findings
- Communicate the importance of, and promoting awareness of, information security across the business to help drive a strong security culture within Capital Markets, Indices & Risk
- Maximise value and minimise friction when onboarding cyber security tools and services
