ROLE PROFILE:
This director role in the global internal comms (IC) team leads a small expert squad of IC professionals to advise, develop and deliver communications to support teams in the People Team, Operations and other Corporate Functions. This role will also develop and govern an improved way of delivering all operational communications across the company. This individual will be highly collaborative and able to cut through complex comms challenges, providing advice and a mix of self-serve and IC team delivery solutions to these divisions. They will have a deep understanding of people and what drives performance, proven experience in identifying and delivering communications that drive outcomes and the ability to identify and prioritise the activities that will make the biggest difference to LSEG. This individual will lead a modern, dynamic and omnichannel in approach, always using data and insight to inform decisions.
ROLE SUMMARY:
• This Director role will report into the Head of Internal Communications and will be critical in shaping how we develop and deliver a programme of effective and inclusive internal communications (IC) to inspire and motivate a global network of employees and contractors. This audience covers people in and our People and Operations teams, plus other Corporate Functions.
• An experienced and passionate IC professional with a deep understanding of developing and delivering engaging communications across a global network in support of company priorities, helping drive performance and supporting change. Always informed by data and insight.
• This individual will be a natural connector, able to inspire others and have exceptional stakeholder management skills. They will be able to join the dots where there is complexity and create clarity for our people through simple modern joined-up content. They will be able to work at pace, manage conflicting priorities and a proven track record for continuous improvement

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
• Leading a small squad of IC professionals, build and deliver critical communications to support better business outcomes for the People, Operations and Corporate Functions teams
• Delivering activity aligned with our global internal communications strategy, objectives and embedding our one-company story
• Be the ‘go to person’ for IC advice and support for IC for the heads of the People function, Operations and other Corporate Functions, adopting the right mix of advice, self-serve and delivery support where required
• Working closely with a named leader in each division to understand priorities and build a streamlined annual IC approach and supporting activities. This will delineate what will be self-serve and where the IC team will provide delivery support
• This role will also develop, implement and embed and new more streamlined and consistent way of delivering operational communications to employees. This will be deigned to improve the people experience and will include nudge comms and greater consistency and coordination across different activities
• Managing demand and resource planning, having a clear view of capacity and skills within the team, making sure we’re always prioritising activities that will make the biggest performance difference to the company. This will at times include the team flexing to other business critical work in a different squad
• Working in partnership with the CAM planning team using our core tools
• Working in partnership with the IC Campaigns team to make sure people related campaigns are consistent and aligned
• Using available tools and technologies and making sure communications are audience-focused, well-planned, data-driven, omnichannel and effective
• Partnering with other IC leaders to identify and prioritise IC improvement opportunities to drive consistency and quality, share knowledge and adopt new more effective ways of communicating.
• Interpreting the impact and success of IC activities, with a strong focus on outcomes and an ongoing culture of continuous improvement
• Supporting a high-performance team culture through effective performance management, communication and coaching - providing support to less experienced team members
• Living and role modelling LSEG values of integrity, partnership, excellence and change every day, both in the way we lead and through our communications approaches and materials. This includes delivering content and activity that is in our tone of voice and in line with global IC principles
• Making sure we manage risk and promote a strong risk culture in all we do
