Do you like to work with administration of various processes in financial accounting department within an international environment, at high standards?

We are “GDELS Romania” - a Europe based business unit of General Dynamics Corporation, with products range from wheeled armored and tracked combat vehicles to amphibious bridges and ferry systems, with people all around the world relying on these systems and services – and we welcome you as Generalist Finance Accountant, located in Bucharest!

To perform daily tasks, it is important that:

* you are able to identify specific problems and propose solutions

* you are able to work with details and follow the standards and regulations

* you take feedback into account and work with other people in order to get the results

* you own a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics/Finance/Business Administration or equivalent

* you know English – minimum A2/B1 level

* you work with SAP (modules FI&CO) and Excel (level 3 - Advanced Computing and Applications)

 

There is a great advantage if:

* you have 5+ professional years’ experience in the field of accounting / finance (incl. trainee / apprenticeship)

* you have good understanding of financial accounting processes, basic knowledge in accounting / accounts payable processing

 

Here are your most important tasks, among others:

1/ Processing of incoming invoices from suppliers (i.e. matching invoices with deliveries in SAP, following up internally or externally on unclear and / or open items, VAT related review, account and cost center / cost object allocation, preparation of payment runs)

2/ Processing of travel expenses and credit card reports (i.e. travel policy compliance review, follow up on open items, account reconciliations)

3/ Inventory processing, reconciliation and counting

4/ Maintenance of bank data master file for suppliers

5/ Processing of outgoing invoices to customers (i.e. VAT review, review basis for revenue recognition, follow up on unpaid invoices)

6/ Preparation of VAT returns in Romania and review with Head of Accounting / Tax department / external advisors, reconciliation of VAT accounts with VAT returns

7/ Maintenance of the fixed assets sub-ledger (i.e. booking additions, disposals and transfers, monthly depreciation run, account reconciliations)
