Role Description:
A team within LSEG 1LoD Analytics division is hiring a candidate with background in quantitative model risk to work on the development of model risk solutions for Analytics clients. The role requires knowledge of model testing and validation techniques as well as good writing skills. The work will primarily focus on creating client facing model validation reports and will also include developing proof of concepts, prototyping and participating in internal model review working groups. Ideal candidate will have a practical experience in Python coding, and work experience in model validation or model development. This role reports to the Head of Model Validation Solutions within D&A Analytics team.
Key Responsibilities:
As a successful candidate you will develop an understanding of LSEG Analytics suite of prepayment/MBS models and associated products. At LSEG Analytics we work as a single team across Research, Engineering and Product divisions to achieve our objectives, therefore you should be prepared to working with people but also being able to research and work on your own! You will be reviewing model assumptions, mathematical formulations and implementation while studying the models and working with model owners. The key objective will be developing client-facing model documentation and testing and monitoring frameworks. We consider automation and tooling as a key component of how we operate and you will have an opportunity to shape our future model risk products and workflows.
Candidate Profile / Key Skills:
We are looking for a candidate with strong analytical skills who have experience and interest in mortgage modelling and securitised products, which will be the focus of the role, and will require an ability to articulate complex details to our internal and external partners and clients. Your experience can also lie in credit model validation or model build. You will need attention to details and positive way to problem solving, and also an organized, well-researched and thoughtful approach to work.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in model build or model validation roles
- strong writing skills as this role involves creating client -facing reports. You will also require to have good Python coding skills. Although the requirements are tightly aligned with a conventional model validation role, you will get involved into various automation projects. Your curiosity and interest in broader range of technology solutions will be an advantage.
- MSc degree or equivalent in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or other related subjects
- PhD degree is an advantage
Compensation/Benefits Information (New York applicants only):
LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $113,400 - $210,800.Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/”bonus plan”). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience.
