We are “GDELS” - a Europe based business unit of General Dynamics Corporation, with products range from wheeled armored and tracked combat vehicles to amphibious bridges and ferry systems, with people all around the world relying on these systems and services – and we welcome you as Production System Integration Engineer Vehicle Assembly, located in Bucharest!
To perform daily tasks, it is important that:
* you are able to identify specific problems and propose solutions
* you are able to follow the standards and regulations
* you take feedback into account and work with other people in order to get the results
* you have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation/Computer Science or comparable qualification
* you know English – C Level, German is a plus
* you work with operating computer programs such as SAP, MS Office and any other software that is standard within the industry
* you have a driving license category B and preferable also C
There is a great advantage if:
* you have at least 5 years of experience in integrating / testing communication systems within the automotive industry
* you have proven experience for developing, executing and documenting detailed test plans
* you have ability to root cause and debug complex issues
* you have proficiency in using test equipment, data acquisition systems and diagnostic tools
* you have a good understanding of standard electric vehicle components such OBC’s, Batteries, BMS, Vehicle Control Units and other communication systems
* you have ability to install/uninstall equipment on vehicles and test benches
Here are your most important tasks, among others:
1/ Plan and collaborate with the suppliers to ensure a proper integration of communication systems and their related software
2/ Conduct detailed analysis and troubleshooting to identify and resolve integration issues ensuring compliance with the defined requirements
3/ Perform integration testing and validate functionality and performance of the installed communication systems
4/ Lead periodical meetings with local team to proper track the project advancement
5/ Provide technical expertise and guidance to other team members regarding integration related matters
6/ Participate in design reviews and provide recommendations to improve the integration process and overall vehicle performance
7/ Assure on time vehicle testing and completion of validation plans
8/ Maintain updated documentation including integration plans, test procedures and specific protocols
9/ Is compliant and respects the HSE rules and safety instructions, according to the defined rules and legislation
