For our business partner, one of the largest integrators of IT and physical security solutions for national and European critical infrastructure, we are looking for a dedicated and experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join they IT teams.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Oracle database systems and will be responsible for administering, optimizing, and securing databases within the organization.
Main tasks
- Installing, configuring, and administering Oracle databases (versions 11g, 12c, 19c or later).
- Monitoring database performance to ensure maximum availability and efficiency.
- Implementing and managing data backup and recovery strategies.
- Managing database access, including configuring and maintaining security and permissions policies.
- Optimizing SQL queries and analyzing the performance of Oracle-based applications.
- Solving technical issues and troubleshooting databases, including managing security updates and patches.
- Collaborating with developers to optimize SQL code and propose improvements.
- data replication and synchronization between multiple databases.
- Planning and executing data migrations and version upgrades.
- Documenting all database administration and configuration activities.
Your Profile
- At least 6+ years of experience in Oracle database administration.
- Solid knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL and query optimization.
- Experience in managing high-capacity database instances and ensuring continuous availability.
- Knowledge of performance monitoring and diagnostic tools (Oracle Enterprise Manager, AWR, etc.).
- Backup and restore management skills using RMAN.
- Solid knowledge of database security and data encryption.Experience in clustering and replication solutions (RAC, Data Guard).
- Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with other technical and non-technical departments.
- Relevant Oracle certifications (OCA, OCP, OCM) are an advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a similar technical field
