We are seeking a skilled SQL Developer to join our team and play a key role in developing and optimizing database solutions.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving our database architecture to enhance performance and reliability. You will work closely with various teams to deliver high-quality business solutions in alignment with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Build new solutions on the platform based on priorities set by product management and regulators
- Deliver optimized and scalable solutions with minimal ongoing support requirements
- Collaborate with development, professional services, QA, and support teams to ensure timely delivery of business solutions
- Translate business requirements into tangible technical solutions and document system features and functionalities
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to update on progress and escalate critical issues as necessary
- Extract, remediate, manipulate, and validate data against various XML schemas
- Develop expertise in software development and gain knowledge in other domains to understand their interconnections and dependencies
- Lead design and planning efforts for user stories
- Cultivate an understanding of organizational strategy and culture and their influence on your work
Requirements
- Proficiency in creating and optimizing complex T-SQL transactional statements
- Understanding of database architecture design
- Familiarity with large data sets, and experience in handling billions of records
- Competency in troubleshooting and resolving database issues including integrity, workflows, deadlocking, etc.
- Knowledge of developing, implementing, and optimizing stored procedures, functions, and batch jobs
- Expertise in data manipulation, remediation, and processing including backup restore and data validation/cleaning
- Skills in XML processing in SQL, schema validation, XML transformations development, and XML schemas management in SQL
- Fluency in English at B2 level
Nice to have
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment with tools like Jira and Confluence
- Background in the financial, banking, or insurance sectors
- Skills in Java, XML, Python, or Snowflake
