Job Summary
In our Design Center in Timisoara our team creates technologies for the Automotive Market. Our power electronics portfolio includes Onboard Chargers, 48V and High-voltage DC/DC Converters.
As our design team is growing, we’re looking to add System Architect colleagues located in Timisoara.
Reporting to the Director Design & Engineering, these roles will be responsible for determination, evaluation, management and tracking of development object architecture (control board for automotive inverter), external and internal requirements for development object based on the work and process instructions described in customer specifications, existing standards, quality manual as well as the respective development guidelines of Flex Automotive. This includes system architecture and requirements for inverter control board design (software, hardware and mechanical requirements).
What a typical day looks like:
• Initiate the project specific architecture and design for the development object (inverter control board);
• Focused on highest efficiency, highest power density and best EMC performance;
• Defining and specify system and product requirements;
• Driving improved thermal behavior;
• Strive to reach best in class efficiency;
• Systemize and prioritize the requirements effort planning, tracking, reporting together with Technical Leads and PM’s;
• Confer with other engineering and cross functional team members on a regular basis to ensure all aspects of the requirements are coming together seamlessly and all requirements changes are captured within the RM tool.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
• BA or MSC degree in a filed of Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Technical informatics or Mechatronics;
• 10+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), or related engineering/technical field;
• 5+ years of experience in R&D in several multidiscipline projects in automotive environment, experience with power products is a plus (automotive inverter development);
• Experience with high voltage power semiconductor selection ;
• Communication level of English, plus Romanian and German is an advantage;
• Strong technical & analytical abilities (systematic approach, capability of abstraction and simplification;
• Ability to recognize dependencies, weaknesses and risks, understand the use, boundary conditions and fields of application of systems;
• Understanding of automotive system/software development in model/embedded environment;
• Customer focus;
• Ability to work flexibly and effectively in a multidisciplinary team;
• Strong communication skills;
• Attention to details.
