At fme Romania we’re seeking a Technical Lead to take charge of data and document migration projects, ensuring high-quality delivery for our clients.

You’ll work closely with both internal and external teams, bringing your technical expertise to the forefront of data governance and data quality solutions. This role is crucial in overseeing the development, implementation, and success of migration projects.

What you’ll do:

  • Project Planning & Delivery: Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project requirements, develop plans, and track progress.
  • Technical Leadership: Lead a global team of technical consultants, providing hands-on expertise in architecture, design decisions, and code reviews.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the team adheres to quality standards by overseeing testing and validation processes.
  • Risk & Change Management: Identify and mitigate technical risks, anticipate roadblocks, and implement effective change management strategies.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the bridge between the technical team and key stakeholders, ensuring alignment across the board.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work with cross-functional teams to align dependencies and collaboratively deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Team Development: Foster collaboration within the team and guide continuous professional development.

Requirements

What we’re looking for:

    • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, or related technical fields.
    • Experience: At least 5 years in a similar role, such as Technical Lead, Technical Project Manager, or Delivery Manager.
    • Expertise: Proven experience in managing data migration projects, especially within IT, compliance, or ERP environments (e.g., SharePoint, or other ERP solutions).
    • Technical Skills: Proficient in database management with experience in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
    • Leadership: Team management experience with an ability to guide and mentor a diverse, global workforce.
    • Global Exposure: Experience working with international clients and teams across different geographical regions.
    • Regulatory Experience: Familiarity with validated systems and ability to produce and oversee the creation of quality documentation, as well as execution of installation procedures and test cases.
    • Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with strong presentation abilities.
    • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and drive clarity in ambiguous situations.

What makes you stand out:

    • Industry Experience: Background in the Life Sciences (pharmaceutical) industry or consulting experience within R&D and Q&M business processes.
    • Migration Expertise: Hands-on experience in document/data migration projects, particularly with Enterprise Content Management Systems (e.g., SharePoint, Documentum, OpenText, Box, Generis, Veeva).
