British American Tobacco Romania has an exciting opportunity for an Area Marketing Analyst in Bucharest
The objective of this role is to build a strong foundation for Foresights capabilities and create an impact in our organization by identifying and exploring emerging trends, opportunities, and risks.
The Area Marketing Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams to research and analyse trends, technologies, and market shifts that could impact the business. Proactively identify opportunities for growth and innovation and assesses potential risks and challenges to the company’s strategic plans.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Support the Area Foresights Manager in identifying, analysing, and interpreting trends, technologies, and market shifts relevant to the business.
- Collaborate with Insights, Information, Consumer Experience & Category teams to gather and synthesize data and insights. These insights will be identified through always-on scanning of secondary studies on shifting consumer values, marketplace signals, and behavioral trends to drive a deep understanding of potentially disruptive forces that will help identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and shape our future strategies.
- Assist in the development of comprehensive foresight reports and presentations for stakeholders, including senior management.
- Contribute to scenario planning and opportunity assessments, helping to guide strategic decision-making across the organization.
- Actively participate in continuous learning and development activities to build and maintain expertise in Foresights methodologies and tools.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Economics, Data Analytics, Market Research, or a similar discipline).
- Strong analytical and coordination skills. Critical thinking skills, with an aptitude for identifying patterns, trends, and insights from various sources.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Marketing/Finance/Research roles, with a demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex data and to perform strategic thinking and planning.
- Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and with basic finance concepts.
- Excellent communication, storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Strong collaboration skills and a proactive attitude, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in English.
