We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Solution Architect II to join our Cloud Platform team.
In this role, you will focus on the design, implementation, and leadership of product development specifically for AWS Outposts to support internal consumption of company-specific applications. You will also work on developing significant items on the roadmap for the entire Public Cloud Platform area, shaping the future state of the platform, running proofs of concept for newer AWS features, and contributing to the preparation of patterns and standards for platform users.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement solutions using AWS Outposts for internal applications
- Develop key roadmap items for the overall Public Cloud Platform area
- Shape the future architecture of the platform by running proofs of concept with new AWS features
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure proper requirements gathering
- Work alongside engineering teams to design new features for further implementation
- Lead the efforts in documenting and providing engineering guidance
- Contribute to the preparation of patterns and standards for platform users
- Ensure alignment with security, monitoring, and governance practices at scale
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Proven track record and strong understanding of AWS cloud capabilities
- Background in on-premises infrastructure including Networking, Storage, and Compute
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, particularly with Gitlab CI
- Experience with AWS Outposts
- Familiarity with additional cloud platforms like Azure and GCP
- Work availability aligning with UK working hours (9-5)
Nice to have
- Skills in Python Boto3
- Prior experience with Azure and GCP
