We seek a Category Manager to manage a group or category of products, for our business partner, a well-known retail discounter with a network of over 1200 stores that offer affordable products.
In this role, you will you'll focus on the management of the categories of non-food products. oversee and optimize the performance of a specific product category. You will also be expected to maintain a thorough understanding of consumer activities and trends.
Mai responsibilities
- Managing the assortment matrix, product rotation, and positioning.
- Implementing the pricing policy within the product category.
- Optimizing stocks, forecasting demand, and managing orders.
- Negotiating, managing supplier relationships, and concluding contracts.
- Preparing promotions for products in the category and planning promotional activities.
- Studies on market trends, competition, demand, and consumer preferences.
- Monitoring results, analyzing data, and preparing reports on sales, profitability, and stock rotation.
- Collaborate with the Department Manager to develop and implement strategies, achieving established performance objectives.
Your Profile
- At least 3+ years experience in a Category Manager Retail role.
- Expertise in category management.
- Proven experience working in the non-food product category.
- Understanding trends, market segments, and consumer preferences.
- Knowledge of the Russian/Ukrainian language is a big advantage.
- Analytical and critical thinker
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- BA in business administration, marketing, or a similar relevant field
