Role Description:

Join us as a Developer Experience Engineer and help us revolutionize our development tools, workflows, and processes to enhance the productivity and satisfaction of our developers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Boost Developer Productivity: Identify and resolve pain points in code, build, test, and deployment workflows to make our developers' lives easier.
  • Support and Debugging: Be the go-to expert for quickly diagnosing and fixing development environment and tool issues.
  • Tool Evaluation: Test, evaluate, and investigate software development tools, and collaborate with vendors to resolve any issues.
  • Automation: Create tools that automate repetitive tasks and streamline development workflows.
  • Collaboration: Partner with product teams and platform engineers to deliver the best tools and practices for development workflows.
  • Documentation and Training: Develop clear guidelines and conduct training sessions to help developers adopt new tools and processes.
  • Onboarding: Simplify the onboarding process with user-friendly, self-service development environments.
  • Scalability: Ensure our tools and systems scale efficiently as our team grows and our codebase becomes more complex.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience: in software engineering or development, with a focus on improving workflows and productivity.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in languages like JavaScript, Python, Java, and experience with multiple CI/CD tools and cloud providers.
  • Automation: Expertise in automating development processes.
  • Tooling: Familiarity with modern development tools like Copilot, Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
