Role Description:
As a Digital Capabilities Development Manager at LSEG within the Digital Operations, I&C, you lead multiple teams and handle day-to-day implementation activities by identifying and bringing up issues and ensuring your team’s work adheres to compliance standards, business requirements, and best practices. Your teams will deliver new digital capabilities redefining how Engineering operates as a business.
Key Accountabilities:
- Understands the tech strategy and culture, and how they impact own work as well as adjacent teams.
- Provides mentorship to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities
- Sets the expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration
- Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements
- Manages stakeholder relationships and the team’s work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements
- Leads by example, mentors the team and establishes credibility through quality technical execution.
- Implements new / improved software development processes and best practices, as the need arises
- Ensures the Digital Operations Development Community has the technical skills required to deliver against long-term plans.
- Supports and develops team members by providing advice, mentor and development opportunities.
- Coordinates the team and holds accountability for the work product.
- Leads design work and planning for elements within projects to the execution of it
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electronics / Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
- Extensive experience in software development in one or more programming languages
- Previous experience in leading an engineering team on projects with technical deep-dives into code, networking, operating systems and/or storage.
