For our partner, a global leader in the renewable energy sector, we are looking for an ambitious Engineering Lead Associate.
In this role, you will develop, supervise, and coordinate the engineering of assigned projects (wind farms, photovoltaic plants, storage, substations, HVL, and the corresponding electrical connection). You will provide technical assistance, especially during the development phase, to the other departments of the company to ensure the proper performance of the administrative procedures, compliance with deadlines, tenders process, and the optimal construction and operation of the projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Projects - Follow all the technical aspects of a portfolio of wind photovoltaic plants and storage, from development to commissioning. You will have to oversee the entire engineering of future Wind Farms, PV, and storage of this portfolio through various internal and external design offices.
- Prepare and supervise all technical documentation according to the project's schedules.
- Oversee technical compliance by ensuring compliance with the conditions set by the Development, Environment, Technical Support, and Energy Assessment departments.
- Assess, review, and collaborate with the Development department in Grid connection studies and relation with DSO and TSO.
- Manage the Engineering Project from conception to the tendering phase and the hand-over over the projects to the Construction Manager.
- CAPEX - Investment capital expenditure studies
- Due Diligence - Give support to the Investment Transactions Department
- Technical Support - Lend technical assistance to the Development and Operations departments to, respectively, validate the technical compliance of projects submitted to the Administration, and analyze any incidents that may occur on existing assets.
- Standardization - Responsible for ensuring the application of common standards and best practices in studies and projects, supervising their adaptation to the local regulations in force, to avoid any unjustified deviation and maximize the profitability of the project with all the necessary technical guarantees.
- Following this scope, the detection of possible inconsistencies of the internal standards to adapt them to the regulations and the reality of the projects will take a great importance among the main accountabilities.
Requirements:
- At least 5+ years experience in engineering companies, contractors, or similar experiences in developing energy.
- Experience dealing with contractors and subcontractors;
- Experience in renewable energy projects is not mandatory but it’s a plus;
- Substations and AutoCAD knowledge;
- English - advanced level;
- Proactivity, solution focus;
- Detail orientation but also the ability to see the big picture;
- Communication and collaboration skills;
- Project Management capabilities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
