Client Description:
Adecco Human Resources is looking for a General Accountant on behalf of its client, a specialist in sustainable food packaging solutions, for their industrial site in Câmpulung, Argeș.
Responsibilities:
· Working with the Country Manager in order to make sure the processes in place ensure the accuracy and the reliability of the financial statements;
· Analysis of the bookkeeping and ensure the accuracy of the financial statements and monthly reporting;
· Put in place and ensure the application of the internal controls;
· Stock entries under the supervision of the group business controller with the support of the logistic manager;
· Working with the logistic manager in the stock controls and stock valuation
· The accounting of month and year end postings in relation with the cut off;
· The preparation of the monthly group reporting and intercompany position control;
· The preparation of the year end closing and related financial statements;
· The bank reconciliation;
· The follow up of cash and treasury planification;
· Main contact together with group finance for local auditors, providing them with the required documentation;
· Main contact together with group treasurer for local banks
· The bookkeeping of all suppliers invoices;
· The control, booking and payment of employees’ personal expenses, ensuring the requested expenses are in line with the group policies.
· The bookkeeping of all customers invoices;
· The accounting of customer payments and the follow up of cash collection with the support of the administrative officers.
· The preparation of the wages and the payment of salaries;
· Social insurance and related returns;
· Preparation of VAT return;
· The preparation of the CIT return ;
· Tax returns other than VAT;
· Any contact with Tax authorities and solving any related issues;
· Tax, financial and legal regulatory monitoring to ensure the business is in line with the law and potentially anticipate any actions that need to be taken to ensure the company compliance.
Candidate Profile:
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
· 3–5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an international environment.
· Proficiency in accounting practices, financial reporting, and internal control evaluations.
· Fluency in English (mandatory)
· Proactive approach with the ability to anticipate and resolve financial issues.
· "Hands-on" mentality with the capacity to work effectively in both local and international contexts.
· Strong communication skills to collaborate with local teams and group-level stakeholders
