We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Commodity Buyer to join our purchasing team. This is an excellent opportunity to start a career in purchasing and supply chain management. Prior experience in procurement is not required, it can be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support in sourcing process of direct materials and components in line with company requirements.
- Create Requests for Quotation and Sourcing Decisions according to work instructions.
- Prepare Standard Purchasing Contracts and exchange them with suppliers.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Support in preparation of supplier negotiations to achieve competitive pricing and terms.
- Monitor supplier performance.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers or cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation. Process invoice deviation workflows.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong communication skills. English language at minimum conversational level mandatory. German represents an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), ability to analyze date and work with databases.
- High attention to details.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within international team.
- Ability to raise the hand in case of problems or blockages in daily work without delays.
- A keen interest in purchasing, supply chain, procurement/logistics or economics/finances.
