We are seeking a Lead Java Developer to head the development team for a major healthcare ISV focused on reimagining and re-platforming their legacy application suite into a modern SaaS-based solution on Oracle Cloud. This role requires an individual who is skilled in building scalable web applications and has a deep understanding of cloud-based technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of a cloud-based patient portal
- Build and maintain highly available, high-traffic web applications and services
- Contribute to migration automation processes and control plans
- Oversee the integration of personal health records and multi-EHR systems for international expansions
- Write automated tests as part of the definition of done
- Deploy code to development environments using automated pipelines
- Debug issues by connecting to Kubernetes clusters
- Collaborate with key stakeholders within the organization
- Mentor junior developers in Java and cloud technologies
Requirements
- Proficiency in Java development with 5+ years of experience
- 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
- Background in building and operating customer-facing web applications
- Knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, or other scripting languages
- Expertise in object-oriented design and SDK development within cloud environments
- Skills in automated testing and deployment using continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Familiarity with Kubernetes
- Competency in cloud tools and solutions, specifically Oracle Cloud
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members
- Capability to mentor and lead junior team members
