As a Portfolio Manager at our bank, you will take charge of managing a dynamic array of initiatives (projects/agile setups) specific to a business area. Your role is pivotal to ensuring seamless implementation, consistent progress tracking, and exceptional stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Governance & Change Management: Design, orchestrate, and continually refine a robust governance framework for demand and change management. Guarantee the flawless implementation of demand and change processes in line with best practices.
- Portfolio Management: Oversee an assigned portfolio of initiatives, managing budgets and team capacities. Forge strong partnerships with stakeholders (Product Owners, Stream Leads, Tribe Leads, Project Managers, IT Delivery Managers) to align goals and resources effectively.
- Budget Coordination: Spearhead the budgeting process, crafting the bank’s annual investment budget for your portfolio. Assist Product Owners/Project Managers with forecasting, mid-year reviews, and meticulous budget execution. Analyze and propose implementation scenarios, weighing benefits and risks.
- Approval & Monitoring: Rigorously validate and verify initiative documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Continuously monitor project progress, ensuring alignment with strategy, scope, timelines, and budget constraints. Report on business performance relative to initiative implementation.
- Stakeholder Management: Cultivate and enhance relationships with Board members, Group stakeholders, business lines, and IT. Identify and prioritize issues, strategic challenges, and prepare them for high-level discussions.
- Meeting Facilitation: Orchestrate recurring portfolio events (monthly/quarterly) for strategic steering decisions. Craft clear, compelling presentations tailored for Board members, and foster a calm and collaborative discussion atmosphere.
