Client Description:
As part of our client's organization, you will be responsible for delivering Cloud Services, including the management and delivery of network infrastructure. You will be a member of the Global Network Operations Center (GNOC) Team, which serves as the front line for physical network issues, providing 24x7x365 support at the Romania location. GNOC handles incidents and performs break-fix changes on network devices to maintain and optimize operations for the physical network infrastructure. This role will focus on the establishment of the European Union Sovereign Cloud offering.
Responsibilities:
• Create and define documentation and runbooks for the newly launched European Union Sovereign Cloud offering for GNOC use.
• Establish clear demarcation for troubleshooting accountability for network operators.
• Define incident triage processes with agreed-upon SLAs and an engagement process for consumption.
• Identify actionable incidents using a monitoring system and apply strong analytical problem-solving skills to mitigate network events/incidents, coordinating routine RCA with support teams and vendors (TAC).
• Join major event/incident calls, applying technical and analytical skills to resolve network issues impacting our client's customers/services, coordinating with SMEs, and providing root cause analysis.
• Execute network changes following the defined change management process, including break-fix changes, upgrades, and decommissioning of network devices.
• Collaborate with multiple support teams during incident calls, coordinating with SMEs, providing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
• Maintain records of equipment failures and liaise with engineers and suppliers as necessary.
• Work with a world-class team located globally, the "Global Network Operations" team, which supports the network infrastructure environment.
Candidate Profile:
• Have worked with large enterprise network infrastructure supporting 24/7 and willing to work in rotational shifts in a network operations role
• 2 to 7 years of hands-on experience supporting network technologies, especially Juniper, Cisco (Nexus and Catalyst), Arista switches, Juniper SRX firewalls, and F5 load balancers. Proficient knowledge in routing protocol (e.g. OSPF, BGP, IS-IS), switching, firewall, load balancer, and DDoS mitigation
• Possess analytical skills in resolving network issues with advanced troubleshooting and coordination with onsite support teams and vendors
• Experience in using monitoring tools to assist with incident management to identify actionable incidents
• Experience in executing medium/complex network changes, along with change requests from service teams in a large enterprise network as per established change management policy
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills, technical knowledge of client/server, and Internet concepts and techniques
• Excellent oral and written technical and interpersonal communication skills, Highly motivated, and self-starter
• Cisco and Juniper certifications desired
