Adecco Permanent Placement is looking for its client, a world leader in abrasives technology, for a Technical Sales Representative.
Responsibilities:
Main Duties:
• Achieve sales targets
• Support Sales Manager and Sales Team
• Work in partnership with Marketing, Customer service and Credit Control team
• Follow the Mirka Sales Process
Sales
• Develop existing and prospective regional distributors & end users in automotive, wood, transport,
marine and construction business sectors
• Actively develop & extend complete Mirka product range into customer base
• Develop lead distributors
• Motivate distributor sales team to sell Mirka products to end users
• Searching for new customers who could benefit from Mirka products
• Manage and interpret customer requirements
• Present, demonstrate and sell Mirka abrasive sanding systems
• Persuade customers that a product or service will best satisfy their needs
• Calculating customer quotations
• Negotiate contract terms
• Negotiate and close sales by agreeing terms and conditions
• Offer after-sales support services
• Develop end-user business and refer back to national & regional distribution
• Regularly visit, maintain and develop national account customers at regional level
• ROI analysis on why to buy and why to buy now
• Supporting marketing by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
• Make technical presentations and demonstrate how a product will meet customer needs
• Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education
• Solve customer problems
Account management
• Establish new, and maintain existing, relationships with customers to entrench Mirka into their
business
• Administer customer accounts and pricing
• Analyse customer sales to prevent slippage and leakage
• Prepare customer specific reports
• Provide training and support material for Customers and End-Users
• Co-ordinate sales projects
Administration
• Accurate sales and product forecasting
• Complete Mirka administration requirements
• Efficiently plan journeys to maximise Customer visits and minimise mileage
• Ensure SAP is maintained to Mirka standard
• Recording and maintaining customer contact data
• Assist with New Accounts Opening process
• Carry out any other reasonable management request
• Ensure all conduct and tasks performed meet the required Mirka standard
• Be responsible and accountable for meeting deadlines
• Give constructive and appropriate feedback to management
• Take part in Mirka training programmes
• Liaise with other members of the sales team and other technical experts
• Prepare, attend and contribute at Company, Team and Individual Meetings
