Harman participated to the 6th edition of DevTalks, the largest expo-conference for software developers in Romania, between June 6 and June 7, at Romexpo. For two days, we had the chance to meet more than 2,500 participants, key leaders and tech enthusiasts and to present them what Harman does and which are the latest & most exciting aspects of the automotive industry.
Thus, our colleague, Patrick Balulescu, System Architect, Engineering / R&D, spoke about smart cars and 5G. At Harman, we design and implement a new era of driving through our smart car technology. With 5G and V2X, we develop secure and reliable Telematics solutions for our top customers: BMW, Daimler, Toyota, VW, Porsche, Audi, Volvo, etc. Patrick talked about the opportunities and challenges we encounter in a 5G connected world, as well as the security aspects that need permanent monitoring and improvements, while the car became an Internet node.
Moreover, all the visitors that stopped at Harman booth during the event had the possibility to experience the new Mercedes-Benz User Experience – MBUX on a Mercedes-Benz E Class. Haman and Daimler through MBUX brought the first AR-capable infotainment system to the market, enhancing the user experience and preparing drivers for their transition into passengers.
